Absurdly Over-Engineered LED Arc Lamp
This project was built for my own home-office desk :).
As my desk is a wall-to-wall working veneer surface, the best uniform lighting solution seemed to be an arc, spanning between the walls above the desk, thus, providing uniform ambient warm illumination.
The arc itself is made from an aluminium bar, and the wooden parts of the lamp were followed plywood aesthetics.
The over-engineering starts when instead of a standard LED strip, I used an addressable one, so each LED can be controlled individually.
I added a control knob that lets the user configure the size, position and intensity of the illuminated area above the desk.
